Noise and vibration

These are important issues that make the difference between an enjoyable day at sea and a tiring stressful day.

From the outset negating noise and vibration has been a priority. Heavier scantlings were used to minimise vibration and the entire hull is treated with Mascoat sound coat damping. The engines and gearbox, and all pumps are resiliently mounted. All floors and interior linings are isolated from the hull to further reduce vibration in the accommodation. Massive silencers are fitted to the engines and air intakes, rendering exhaust noise almost inaudible.
